Types of sentences
Assertive sentences ಹೆಳಿಕೆ ವಾಕ್ಯ
–An assertive sentence
makes a statement, is also called as
declarative sentence and ends with a
period.
•Exa:
–We planned to go tour this week.–Our college will remain close on account of deepawali.–India won 3 medals in Beijing Olympic 2008.
•Exa:

Imperative sentence ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕಡ್ಡಾಯ
ವಾಕ್ಯ
–A sentence which makes
request or command is called imperative sentence.•Exa:–Please give me that
pen. (request)–May I go now?
(permission)–You go there. (order)–Don’t laugh. (order)
Interrogative
sentence. ಪ್ರಶ್ನಾರ್ಥಕ ವಾಕ್ಯ
–A sentence which makes
question is called interrogative sentence.•Exa:–What’s your father?–Where do you live?–How old are you?–Where are you going?
Exclamatory sentence: ಭಾವಾತ್ಮಕ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳು
A sentence which makes
strong or sudden feeling is called exclamatory sentence.
•Exa:
–Wow! Its wonderful!
–Ouch! Its paining here!
–Shut up!
–Don’t do that!
•Exa:
